Rates and Services
I currently offer sliding scale rates from $100-$150. I additionally work with the Open Path Collective to offer a limited number of $40-$70 spots for people who are un- or underinsured.
I accept cash, Health Savings Accounts, Flexible Spending Accounts, debit and credit cards using Point of Sale. Payment is due at time of service.
We can talk about your rate at your first appointment, or you can schedule a 15 minute phone consult through my client portal.
Insurance policy
I am a fee for service therapist and practice as an out-of-network provider. What this means is you are responsible for payment each session and I can provide insured clients with a receipt which you can submit with a claims form to their insurance company for reimbursement. Check with your insurance company to determine what their rate of coverage is for out-of-network mental health services. This will help you understand what the full cost to you will be.
You can call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask if you are covered by an “out-of-network Licensed Mental Health Counselor.” I do not interact with insurance companies on a clients’ behalf except under extreme circumstances.
I can create superbills to submit to your insurance upon your request.
Cancellation Policy
You must cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment, otherwise you will be charged full price for your session. You are allowed one free late cancellation or no show, and I may waive the cancellation fee in case of emergency or if we have made a prior agreement.
If you have health or scheduling concerns so you do not believe you could attend regular appointment, let me know. We may be able to schedule you flexibly and accomodate you.
Time and Frequency
As a baseline, I offer weekly 60 minute sessions. If you are having a really hard time and need to meet more often, we can discuss that. I am comfortable if you need to meet less often for financial reasons. As your symptoms start improving and you start moving towards graduation, we will likely stagger down your sessions to see how things are with less frequent contact.
If we both think that you would benefit from longer sessions, we’ll discuss that.
I do not offer discounted rates for shorter sessions, unless we agree on it and you’re an appropriate fit.
It’s impossible to predict how long you’ll be in therapy. The same set of symptoms could resolve in a month or still be hanging out in 5 years depending on what’s going on with you and your life. We’ll keep in touch about how therapy is working for you and what you most need through the course of treatment.
My hope for every client is to end with a happy graduation because you’re living a life you enjoy living.
